The Australian National Centre for Audit and Assurance Research (ANCAAR) fosters, develops and disseminates research in auditing and assurance that is of significance to policy makers, practitioners and users.

The Centre also provides briefings and training seminars for practitioners and regulators in Australia, Oceania and Asia.

The Centre hosts scholars and practitioners attached to ANU as Fellows and Adjunct Faculty and who collaborate with ANCAAR members on research projects.

ANCAAR members have received ARC Discovery Grants,  ARC Linkage Grants, and numerous research grants from CPA Australia, AFAANZ, ACCAN and other bodies.

The annual ANCAAR Audit Research Forum provides critical exposure to significant emergent research. Participants range from PhD candidates to internationally acclaimed senior scholars.
